Thomas W. Schaller - Watercolor Artist
First, I want to extend a very big welcome to all new members and a grateful hello to all former subscribers to my newsletter. Here in the U.S. it is - at last - the first official day of summer!
It's been a busy time for me - with many (and mostly good!) surprises. The weather in Southern California - more than usual - makes being outdoors to paint (or ride a bike) a sincere pleasure. And I hope that wherever you are, your days are full - happy and productive.
Here in my early summer newsletter are a few of the things I've been up to. As always, if you have any interest in, or questions about my artwork, please don't hesitate to be in touch. And I hope our paths will cross somewhere down the road.
All my best wishes,

New in Print:
+ I am extremely honored to have had four of my paintings selected for the upcoming book: "Splash 13: Alternative Approaches" to be published by North Light Books in the coming year.
+ An article on me and my work is soon to be realeased in the Dutch magazine "Palet". My more recent work will be covered of course, but in addition, a look at some of the sketch work done while I was a student living in Delft, Holland back in the 1970's
+ Finally, I'm very pleased that "International Artist" magazine is working on an in-depth look at my work, my technique and working process, and the evolution of my style in a feature article to be released later this year.
A number of new workshops and demonstrations are on the horizon, but most immediately, next month I will be in my home state of Ohio at the Akron Society of Artists; 21-22-23 July 2011:
