Thomas W. Schaller - Watercolor Artist
Even with spring making its way across the landscape here, our thoughts are never far lately from the enormous troubles facing the nation of Japan.
It is in this light – and following the lead of my friend and fellow watercolor artist Keiko Tanabe - that I would like to dedicate this edition of my newsletter to the ongoing relief efforts in Japan by offering my painting “Huntington Gardens” for auction here.

As individuals, we can often feel helpless in light of such a disaster, but by joining forces through our art , we can hope to make some small difference.

This painting was completed in my studio from a sketch done
on site in the beautiful Japanese gardens at the Huntington, near
Pasadena, California in March 2011.
